Prologue

Before I invite you into the story of the Kovno Legacy, I want to share the quiet force that has shaped my path—synchronicity.

Synchronicity is the uncanny feeling when life aligns in ways too perfect to be random. You think of someone, and they suddenly call. You stumble into the right place at the right moment, and everything shifts. Coincidence? Maybe. But often, these moments feel like gentle nudges from something greater—what Carl Jung called “meaningful coincidences” when asked to define “synchronicity”. Jung believed these events weren’t just luck, but part of a deeper universal order—unus mundus, one world, where our inner experiences align with the outer world.

For me, synchronicity has been both compass and companion, guiding my choices and connecting me to something beyond logic or reason. My life choices have been guided by the numerous coincidences that have led me to launch off the mainstream with leaps into the unknown.

I believe the same force shaped the lives of my ancestors. In their stories—and mine—you’ll see how synchronicity sparked transformation, passed down like memory in our DNA. These moments aren’t accidents. They’re magic. They whisper of purpose, connection, and legacy.

And if I leave behind anything of value, let it be this: a belief in the wonder of synchronicity, and a life lived wide open to its mystery.
