Theresa Lundquist

Theresa was born in the American Midwest, spending much of her adult life in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She relocated to New England in 2019, making Martha’s Vineyard her year-round home. The Kovno Legacy is her first novel.

Immediately after she graduated from Northwestern College with a B.A. in Political Science and minors in World History and Psychology, Lundquist entered the tech industry, working for companies like Wang Laboratories and Control Data. Her passion for technology, research, and learning quickly became evident, and she immersed herself in a thriving career in IT.

At one juncture, Lundquist took a hiatus from her corporate work to serve as Senior Director of IT for U.S. Senator Rudy Boschwitz’s third-term reelection campaign. Despite her apolitical stance, Lundquist’s interest in public affairs and her technical expertise led to significant success in this role.

Throughout her 30-year career in workforce development and information technology, Lundquist held pivotal roles, including VP of Education for Perfect Access Speer, Chief

Learning Officer for Profisciencé, and President of CTI, a national consulting firm. Her niche was the legal sector, where she advised top global law firms, helping them enhance workforce performance. Her last major project with Kirkland & Ellis, the world’s highest-grossing law firm, involved applying her expertise in Lean Six Sigma to assess their trial advocacy program.

These experiences, along with her regular contributions to writing peer-reviewed journals and speaking tech conferences, showcased Lundquist’s exceptional ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, underscoring her capacity to tackle challenges with precision and creativity. These qualities seamlessly transitioned her into writing.

Lundquist’s love for historical research and storytelling is evident in The Kovno Legacy, a novel deeply rooted in her understanding of the protagonist, Alan Brigish. Over 19 months, Lundquist conducted exhaustive interviews with Brigish, delving into his journals and relentlessly probing to uncover the essence of his experiences. This intimate collaboration resulted in a narrative that captures Brigish’s life with unparalleled authenticity and depth.

The Kovno Legacy invites readers to experience the life and journey of Brigish and his unusual ancestry, marked by synchronicity and profound moments of truth. Lundquist’s writing transcends mere storytelling; it offers a poignant, honest, and even magical exploration of a remarkable life. Through her meticulous research and creative flair, she has crafted a novel that resonates with clarity and emotional power, marking her as a formidable talent in the literary world.
